Introduction
Too many Christians have built their understanding of the Bible, the world, history, and the future
upon a perception which is robbing them of faith, hope, and love. It is robbing them of faith because
they have accepted the lie that the Church is impotent and will remain helpless until Jesus returns.
Their perception is stealing their hope because they see the Church as a cumbersome ark moving through
an ocean of evil. They focus on the myth that Satan is in control of this world, rather than recognizing
that Jesus is Lord and Satan already has been defeated. They think that they love people, but in reality,
they live with abiding suspicions that their neighbor, the government, the church across town, Roman Catholics,
the financial giants, Russia, China, and the Islamic world soon will be used by the Antichrist to deceive all
those who are unaware. Whether or not you realize it, you have been influenced by such lies. They permeate
modern Protestant Christianity. Whether or not you accept them as true, they still have influenced the overall
picture you now have in your mind concerning the passing of time and how the future will unfold. I am going
to hold up a mirror so you can see what is going on within your own thought processes. Then I will refocus the
image so you can form a more accurate view of yourself and the future. I will be using the term "progressive
worldview" to describe the Christian worldview which I believe is the most biblically accurate. Many Christian
teachers use this term in referring to smaller, distinct areas of life and experience. I am applying it to our whole
worldview. Today a significant portion of the Church thinks along these same lines, but I am unaware of other
teachers who use the term "progressive" in such a broad sense as I do. I am hoping it will ring true
in the hearts of many and quickly catch on. My use of the term "progress worldview" should not be
confused with how a certain smaller modern sect uses this term in order to push Christians into more liberal
positions. The Progressive Christian Worldview which I am offering is a solid biblically-bases view of the Bible,
history, and; the future.
